Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026 · KULIK TRADE CORP.
- SnapContact reads your photos on your iPhone. Photos are never uploaded.
- We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- We, the developer, never receive any of your data.
- Two optional online lookups — Apple Maps and the business's own website — can be turned off in Settings.
What the app does with your photos
When you take or share a photo, SnapContact recognizes the text with Apple's on-device Vision framework and, on supported iPhones, understands it with Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). This processing happens entirely on your device. The photo is not sent anywhere.
SnapContact only sees photos you choose to give it: from its camera, from the photo picker (which hands over only the selected photo), or from the Share menu. It does not have access to your photo library and never scans it.
Contacts
With your permission, SnapContact saves the contact you reviewed to the Contacts app on your iPhone and may add it to a group such as "SnapContact · Health". It does not read, upload or share your other contacts. If you use iCloud Contacts, Apple syncs your contacts as it normally does, under Apple's Privacy Policy.
History
The app keeps a list of the contacts you created, with their pictures, so you can find them again. If you turn on "Keep photos in History", a small copy of the original photo is kept too (off by default). History is stored only on your iPhone, inside the app's protected storage, and is deleted when you clear it in Settings or delete the app.
Optional online lookups
These are the only times SnapContact uses the internet, and both can be turned off in Settings › Online Extras:
- Apple Maps. To find the exact address and map location, the app sends the business name and the address text from the photo to Apple Maps. Apple handles these searches under Apple's Maps privacy terms. The names of private individuals are never looked up.
- Business logo. To show a logo, the app opens the website printed on the photo (or found in Apple Maps) and downloads the icon that website itself provides. Like any website visit, that website can see your IP address. No cookies are stored and nothing else is sent.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app checks your purchase status on the device using Apple's signed records. To count the 10 free contacts, the app stores a single number in your iPhone's Keychain; it contains no personal information.
Data we collect
None. SnapContact has no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising services, and the developer receives no data from the app. Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics and crash reports only if you choose to share them with app developers in your iPhone settings.
Children
SnapContact does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, we will ask for your permission first.
